ABOUT THE EVENT

Celebrating West Yorkshire businesses and bringing our business community together, this event will be an opportunity to share best practice as well as to discuss the opportunities and challenges companies and entrepreneurs face in the region.

Organised by the team behind ‘We Are Wakefield’, the Conference will give 160 business leaders from all five boroughs the chance to discuss issues affecting all businesses including how to attract more companies and skill sets to West Yorkshire, how to create a sustainable future for your business, developing leadership skills and creating business growth.

HOST

A journalist and broadcaster for more than forty years, Christa Ackroyd is passionate about enabling others to tell their stories. From the Yorkshire Ripper to Hillsborough and more, she firmly believes in the power of the human spirit having the ability to change hearts and minds.

A campaigner against homelessness and many other issues there is nothing she enjoys more than taking those in authority to task and providing a voice for the voiceless.

Currently recording a series on Yorkshire and others on the victims of crimes for network television stations, Christa is also a columnist, writer and purveyor of stories about those who have overcome adversity to change lives for themselves and for others.
